Pre-season testing and then the first practice sessions for the Portuguese Grand Prix in Portimão clearly showed that something was handicapping the French driver. Lorenzo Fellon, and we emphasized it.

This Sunday, the evidence became unavoidable when the rider of the CIP – GREEN Power team was unable to start the Moto3 race, his shoulder having dislocated during the warm-up lap. This is far from the first time that the young French speed hopeful has suffered repeated dislocations of his right shoulder, the consequences of several bad falls.

An operation now seems inevitable, even if it is not the best time of the season for it. Lorenzo Fellon therefore decided to put his season on hold in order to treat his injured shoulder and come back fitter than ever. We wish the young French pilot a speedy recovery!

 

 

Lorenzo Fellon (Ab) : " Unfortunately, I couldn't race because in the warm-up lap I dislocated my shoulder. So I had to return to the box. I think it's time for me to take care of this problem. I'm going to be out of a few races to get back to 100%, feel good on the bike, and be where we're capable of being. I think it's one step back to take two steps forward. It's a difficult decision, but I think it's important. I'm sure we can come back stronger than ever. »

Alain Bronec (Team Owner) : " During the winter tests, Lorenzo switched to KTM and he worked well. Unfortunately, he crashed during last week's tests and weakened an already injured shoulder. He suffered throughout the weekend. During the warm-up lap, he dislocated his shoulder and was unable to start. He will not be in Argentina. He leaves for France to undergo a medical check-up. We are waiting for news from Lorenzo, his place is in the CIP – GREEN Power team as soon as he is fit. »

The structure ofAlain Bronec nevertheless had a mixed start, with a good performance from the rookie david savior, who managed to finish his first race with the team in 13th position, thus scoring valuable points.

David Salvador (13th) : " This is my first race of the year. I'm very happy, because today I improved my driving and it's very positive. I really liked the last round. I had a very good feeling with the front tire compared to the test during which it was not the best. I think we have taken another step forward in the race. We will continue to work in Argentina, because I think we can take one more step. »

Alain Bronec : " David Salvador, JuniorGP vice-Champion, rode very well in the leading group. He forced himself towards the end of the race and lost contact slightly. He nevertheless finished seven seconds behind. Congratulations to him for this very good start to the season. »
