The German team is now called CFMOTO Racing PruestelGP and is fielding Xavier Artigas and Carlos Tatay in the Moto2022 category of the world championship in this 3 season.

The team of Florian Prüstel made his presentation from the Sachsenring circuit, but unfortunately, like last year, once again without sponsors or fans. A lot has happened in the Saxon team in recent months. Biggest change: Earlier this year the team changed its status from that of a customer team to the official factory team of the Chinese mountain bike manufacturer CFMOTO extension , whose vice president of sales for the European market, Markus Ferch, also attended the presentation. The Chinese company, already represented competing in the legendary Isle of Man TT, is ready for the next big step with its entry into Moto3™.

With the tragedy that occurred last year at Jason Dupasquier, the year 2021 was of course one of the most difficult seasons since the creation of the racing team for team manager Florian Prüstel, but the latter is full of expectations for the coming season, with a duo purely Spanish pilots. Xavier Artigas is highly anticipated this year, after managing to finish the 2021 season finale in the best possible way with his first GP victory in Valencia. But Carlos Tatay , the former Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup winner, who worked hard on himself and his technique over the winter after a difficult last season, could also have a key year ahead of him in 2022? He is looking forward to fighting among the best under the colors of Sino-German cooperation.

The CFMOTO team is supported, among others, by Tom Luthi as sports director. The friendly Swiss is not only world champion (2005, 125cc, multiple vice-world champion Moto2), he was also the mentor and coach of Jason Dupasquier .

Another important key position is occupied by Massimo Capanna . He is the new technical director, brings a lot of experience and has already produced world champions in the Moto3™ category.

Now it's time for Spain for the first tests, before the start of the first race of 2022 in Qatar at the beginning of March.

Florian Prüstel, General manager: “We are waiting a lot. We want to bring CFMOTO as a brand into the world championship. This involves the sporting results of our drivers. And we also have a lot of support from Chinese fans and of course we hope that we can continue to work successfully with CFMOTO in the future. »

Xavier Artigas: “I've learned a lot over the past year, and this year I'm even more ready than ever to be at the front of every race. Of course, the move to CFMOTO is something that I had to adapt to and that I am still doing, but the understanding within the team is very good and motivates me to drive at the front for CFMOTO. »

Carlos Tatay: “We will wait for the first tests in Spain and then set ourselves precise objectives for the season. I was able to improve in every race and every round last year and I feel ready for the season. It can finally begin. »
