Sergio García will have to wait to make his debut since he is not yet 16 years old. In his place in Qatar, the young hopeful Ryusei Yamanaka.

The first Grand Prix of the season is now close, but one of the rookies in the small category will be missing, Sergio Garcia (Estrella Galicia 0.0), who will only turn 16 on March 23. Not having the minimum age to participate in the World Championship, he will officially begin in Argentina, from March 29 to 31. The team will deploy the young Japanese in his place Ryusei Yamanaka.

Born in 2001 in Chiba, Yamanaka will participate in the Junior World Championship this year with the same structure. Considered a young hope from the Land of the Rising Sun, he has distinguished himself since his childhood at local and national level. He already knows the Qatari track, having competed in a round of the Asia Talent Cup there three years ago, finishing on the podium. In 2017-2018, we found him in the Red Bull Rookies Cup, where he quickly showed himself, but last year he also had the opportunity to play the last three stages of the CEV Moto3 with Team 3570 MTA.
“I’m happy to have this opportunity,” Yamanaka said. “I'm looking forward to racing in Qatar, I love the track and I previously raced there three years ago in the Asia Talent Cup, finishing in second position. I am optimistic, but I have to take one step at a time. I will try to get a good result, but the most important goal is to finish the race. I would like to finish in the top 10, I will do my best. »
