Ultra dominant since the start of the weekend, Roman Fenati (Husqvarna, Sterilgarda Max Racing Team, #55) did not shake at the end of qualification, on his only timed lap, to take pole position on the legendary Silverstone track.

And yet, the Italian driver's journey to pole was not as smooth as expected. Given his speed throughout the weekend, the Italian left the pit lane with a handful of competitors on his tail and spent a few laps trying to separate himself from them. Roman Fenati had yet to set a time with a minute remaining in the session and was not helped by yellow flags, but a final flying lap proved enough to secure him pole position.

Aged 25, the pilot of Max Biaggi occupies 3rd in the championship, but far, 48 points behind Sergio Garcia and 89 units of Peter Acosta: will he be able to reduce his gap during this British Grand Prix and take advantage of the fact that the leader Pedro Acosta (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo), in difficulty all weekend, will start from 22nd place on the grid, and his runner-up Sergio Garcia (GasGas, Aspar Team), victim of a fall at turn #3, from the 24th?

gabriel rodrigo (Honda, Team Gresini Moto3, #2), drafted in Q1, held first place in Q2 for a large part of the session, but had to lose by four hundredths of a second. Riccardo Rossi (KTM, BOE Owlride, #54) also impressed by bagging third place and a front row start at Silverstone.

The Italians Andrea Migno (Honda, Rivacold Snipers Team, #16) and Niccolo Antonelli (KTM, Reale Avintia, #23) will occupy the second row, the second returning from an injury, and will be accompanied by another driver who competed in Q1, Filip Salač (KTM, CarXpert PrüstlGP, #12).

We will find on the third line Jeremy Alcoba (Honda, Team Gresini Moto3, #52), Dennis Foggia (Honda, Leopard Racing, #7) and Deniz Öncü (KTM, Red Bull KTM Tech3, #53). The top 10 of these qualifications is completed by Jaume Masia (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo, #5), who was more than a second slower than the pole sitter and opened the fourth row in front of the rookie Izan Guevara (GasGas, Aspar Team, #28) and Stefano Nepa (KTM, BOE Owlride, #82).

The French pilot Lorenzo Fellon (Honda, SIC58 Squadra Corse, #20) tried to follow Romano Fenati (Husqvarna, Sterilgarda Max Racing Team, #55) in order to take the lead from the best driver of the weekend. Unfortunately, his stubbornness ended with a fall before he could even begin his timed lap and he had to start 18th.

Who will ultimately do well in this British Grand Prix which will take place over 17 laps under the sun with temperatures of 16° in the air and 22° on the ground?

Before answering this question, here is the table which summarizes the facts known so far.

When the red lights go out, Roman Fenati maintains the advantage of its pole position in front Nicolò Antonelli who made a very good start.

Max Biaggi's driver immediately began to push to try to open up a gap, which he managed to do by taking a 2/10 lead over Niccolo Antonelli, himself slightly detached from the peloton.

Behind the two men, we find Andrea Migno et Riccardo rossi, detached from the platoon led by Dennis Foggia.

Meanwhile, Peter Acosta et Sergio García have already returned to 13th and 14th position but are bickering: The race is on...

On your mind, Roman Fenati continues his forcing and alone Niccolo Antonelli et Andrea Migno can follow at a short distance, while the peloton is 2 seconds behind after three laps.

Sadly, Andrea Migno must abandon, apparently due to a technical problem, and leaves Nicolò Antonelli the task of trying to stem the devil from Roman Fenati...

He maintains a gap of 4/10 on his closest opponent, while the two men are now four seconds ahead of the peloton made up of Dennis Foggia, Izan Guevara, Darryn Binder, Tatsuki Suzuki, Jaume Masiá, Deniz Öncü and Riccardo Rossi.

The second group, in which the first two in the championship appear, is more than 14 seconds behind.

Six laps from the finish, the suspense remains intact since Niccolo Antonelli got back into the wheel of Roman Fenati...

Three laps later, the pole-sitter and circuit record-holder seemed to have the race in hand by regaining a half-second lead over the Avintia VR46 Academy driver.

Roman Fenati and further accelerates the pace and increases his lead to one second two laps from the checkered flag: A real demonstration from the Ascoli driver!

In the last round, Izan Guevara takes the best of Dennis Foggia for third place on the podium, but the latter regains the advantage and the two men attack Niccolo Antonelli who gave up for the victory.

Very nice demonstration of Roman Fenati who made no mistakes and left his opponents no chance!

Hats off also to Niccolo Antonelli author of a brilliant race while returning from injury, and Izan Guevara author of the best lap in the race within the pole position times! Conversely, the two championship leaders hardly impressed...

Moto3 British Grand Prix results:
