Moto3 qualifying is always a highlight of a race weekend, and this is even more true on a big track like Silverstone. Some had already stood out, like David Alonso (CFMoto Aspar Team), six times winner this season and oh so dominant in previous weekends. Collin Veijer (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP), also in the lead at Jerez, broke the track record during P1 yesterday afternoon. This morning, Ivan Ortola (KTM MT Helmets MSi) had the best time, but he went too fast under yellow flags. In fact, Daniel Holgado took first position. In any case, we should not omit some serious outsiders, of course, who can also dynamite a session.
Who would you have bet on? Either way, come relive the session with us! Before starting, here is a table which summarizes the known facts :

It's a bet for Q1, which will pit some interesting drivers against each other. The favorite is none other than David Munoz (KTM Boé Motorsports), who was downgraded following a failure to respect the yellow flags in the final moments of P2. But here is the Spaniard who falls at the start of the session! Disaster ! He is quickly followed in the gravel by Tatchakorn Buasri.
A bump in the road of @david64official's Q1 plans! 😮

Adrian fernandez (Honda Leopard Racing) is one to watch, and in fact, it won't take long for him to rank first. In the final moments, everything changes... except the position ofAdrian fernandez, first qualifier. Philip Farioli (Honda Sic58 Squadra Corsica) is second qualified, just ahead Xabi Zurutuza (Red Bull KTM Garlic) and Matthew Bertelli (Honda Snipers Team). As incredible as it may seem, David munoz is already eliminated, in 7th place! This fall at the start of the session got the better of him.
Q1 Moto3 result at the 2024 British Grand Prix:
Here we go for Q2, the suspense is at its height! The drivers were slow to start, perhaps to save rubber. On the first run, the two drivers Red Bull GasGas Tech3 Jacob Roulstone et Daniel Holgado are leading, but we must wait for the big hitters later. It was only five minutes before the end that everything came to a head.

Collin Veijer strikes in turn, with a very good 2'09. But Ivan Ortolan responded in the best possible way, with a new best lap. Joel Kelso (KTM Boé Motorsports) is very efficient in turn, ranked third in this round. David Alonso lurks, but relatively far away. He will still have one turn at the very end, unlike Veijer who begins his last attempt. Scott Ogden (Honda MLav Racing), already far away, falls and will not repeat the feat of last year, which saw him start from the first row. Fall of Nicholas Carraro (KTM LEVELUP MTA) also.
Collin Veijer is very fast, but Ivan Ortola is even more so! What a turn from the Spaniard who will start in pole position tomorrow at 12:15 p.m.! Joel Kelso is third, just ahead David Alonso et Ryusei Yamanaka (KTM MT Helmets MSi).
