Paolo Simoncelli's SIC 58 Squadra Corse team took advantage of this Thailand Grand Prix to formalize the renewal of its Japanese driver Tatsuki Suzuki.
After 2 years spent within the CIP team ofAlain Bronec, the 21-year-old native of Chiba will therefore be carrying out his 3rd season within the Italian structure managed by the father of the late Marco Simoncelli, in which the team manager-driver relationship is always imbued with a particular human warmth.
We remember that Paolo Simoncelli had relied heavily on Tony Arbolino before he decided to leave the team without really having informed his boss (see here).
Wounded again, he today has a very particular affection for Tatsuki suzuki and continues to support him in a very competitive category where he often shows irregularity.
His best Grand Prix result to date is a 4th place in Japan last year, and he is currently 15th in the world championship.
