After a total winter domination of David Alonso (CFMOTO Aspar Team), the official three-day test ofhe categories Moto2 and Moto3 in Jerez de la Frontera finally concluded with seeing Jose Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo) set the new unofficial record at the Jerez-Angel Nieto Circuit.

In 1'43.276, still under radiant sunshine, the Seville driver thus dethroned the one who currently seems unavoidable, but let's make no mistake, the winter tests have not reduced the list of potential clients for the world title to two names. In view of the different sessions, we can indeed add Collin Veijer (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP), Daniel Holgado (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3), Ivan Ortolá (MT Helmets – MSI) and even Ryusei Yamanaka (MT Helmets – MSI), all on KTM.

Indeed, the brand new machine from Mattighofen, after the three-year technical freeze, appears clearly superior to a Honda whose Adrian fernandez (Leopard Racing) tries to make the most of each session but remains slightly behind.

As in Valencia during the first test of the 2024 season, Pirelli tires (100/70 R17 front and 120/70 R17 rear) have therefore worked wonders with the Moto3, now making these little machines as fast as the 500cc Grand Prix of the 2000s...
It must be said that between new tires and new motorcycles, the record du tour official byAndrea Migno (1'44.988) a summer beaten de near de two people seconds!

At the end of these three days in Andalusia, the best rookie was Jacob Roulstone (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3).

Last night, all the Moto3s were put in their transport crates and today will begin their flight to Qatar, where they will compete "for real" next weekend in the first round of the world championship .

Jose Antonio Rueda : “I am very happy with what we have done in the last few days, both with the team and with the bike. There were a lot of things to try and I think we found some really good things for the circuits that make up the first part of the season. We leave Jerez with a very good feeling and we are now looking forward to the start of the season and the first race in Qatar. »

Aki Ajo, Team Director: “It was a great test for our Moto3 team, and also very interesting, because we have a brand new KTM bike and also a new tire manufacturer. The trials were very helpful in gathering as much data as possible on the new package. We are satisfied with the results and especially with Rueda's performance over the winter. He's grown mentally and he has more experience, so I'm really happy to see how he works. His performances were of a very high level, both in terms of pace and lap time. »
