The official tests in Portimão end with Dennis Foggia's record on this final day. Here is the report of the highlights.

Dennis Foggia finally marked these official tests in Portimão. The reigning Moto3 vice-champion, still not at his best after some physical and health problems, today set a record time which allows him to complete the best of three days (two in his case). The Italian from the Leopard team is ahead of his compatriot today Andrea Migno, while third place of the day goes to Izan Guevara. The activity is over, all that remains is to head towards the first GP of the season, but first let's see how this last Monday went.

Session 1

We remember the track's references, with the race record in 1'47.610 (gabriel rodrigo, 2021) and the absolute record in 1'47.274 (Sergio García, 2021). Yesterday, Tatsuki suzuki came close, stopping the clock in 1'47.390, the best time in the tests so far. A time that is easily improved already in this session. We emphasize that Deniz Oncu is back on track after his abstention in the third session yesterday, following a significant fall, also for the innocent Adrian Fernández as can be seen in this photo.

Deniz Oncu still in pain but he is not injured, so he is back in action to make the most of this day-3. At the top, however, the Italians lead, Dennis Foggia in particular with a 1'46.990, shattering the absolute record mentioned previously. Only 52 thousandths behind is his compatriot Andrea Migno, while third place goes to Izan Guevara. To report a fall for Tatsuki suzuki at turn #8, without consequence.

Session 2

Times a little higher than the record times set during the previous session. Ayumu Sasaki, the new recruit of the Max Racing team, joins the club which has fallen below the 1'47 mark. A time of 1'47.553 was enough for him to take the lead in a very tight ranking: Izan Guevara was at 33 thousandths, the rookie David Munoz was 65 thousandths away and there were a total of 19 drivers within a second of each other. There was a fall for the rookie Scott Ogden, who fell at turn #5.

Session 3

Very little activity in this last session of the day, it seems that the teams and drivers are now thinking about Qatar. But some intend to take advantage of this last official testing session, and only a dozen guys took to the track. Among them, Sergio García, which prints the reference time, or the Leopard and MTA formations. The same goes for the BOE duo with the very fast rookie David Munoz et Ana Carrasco, who are trying to do as many laps as possible before the new season. Without the n°44, who will have to wait several GPs due to the age limit.
