The Moto3s continued their pre-season test in Qatar. On the second of three days scheduled at Losail, Honda taught KTM a lesson by taking the first six places on the timesheet. The leader is Filip Salac (Honda, Rivacold Snipers Team), who we had rarely seen at such a party…

Honda clearly won the manufacturer duel against KTM during the second day of IRTA testing in the Moto3 category. Japanese machines took the first six places in Qatar on Saturday. Filip Salac achieved the best time.

The pilot of the Snipers Team achieved the best time of the day at Losail with a time of 2'04.892 which allowed him to beat the fastest lap of gabriel rodrigo (Honda, Kömmerling Gresini Moto3), achieved the day before, by seven tenths of a second.

Filip Salac : " It was a fantastic ride on a fantastic day. The key was that I did all my laps on my own throughout the day. At the end of the day I figured I had to catch someone to get a good time and I was lucky enough to catch a big group. I followed them and took advantage of the slipstream, which allowed me to achieve this incredible time. I am very happy with this! »

In the duel between the Japanese manufacturer and KTM, Honda made a much stronger impression even though the lap record ofAron Canet, established in 2019, is still just over 0,3 seconds away.

Roman Fenati of the Max Racing Team made its first laps on the Qatari circuit with its Husqvarna. The Italian, who has been at the top of the podium eleven times so far, was absent on Friday due to flu symptoms. THE coronavirus was not suspected.

Ai Ogura (Honda, Honda Team Asia), who was in the lead during testing at Jerez, did not go beyond eleventh place and remained 1.095 seconds behind the Czech Salac.

However, things went better than Friday for the Red Bull KTM riders Raul Fernandez (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo) (8th), Deniz Oncu (KTM, Red Bull KTM Tech3) (10th), Kaito Toba (Honda, Red Bull KTM Ajo) (14th) and Ayumu Sasaki (KTM, Red Bull KTM Tech3) (15th).
