The overseas tour continues with Moto3 qualifying in Thailand. This grueling championship continues to surprise us, as Deniz Öncü (Red Bull KTM Ajo) has just taken pole position. Before the two sessions of fifteen minutes each, the suspense was complete. On the one hand, Jaume Masia (Honda Leopard Racing) had it all, faster in the first two sessions and leading the general standings by four points. But we should not neglect Ayumu Sasaki (Liqui Moly Husqvarana Intact GP), still without victories in 2023 but second in the championship, and oh so fast over a lap. This season is also that of rookies; David Alonso (GasGas Aspar team) and, to a lesser extent, Collin Veijer (Liqui Moly Husqvarana Intact GP) were the spoilsport like no one else.
Even if you already know the outcome of this session, come relive it with us! here is a table which summarizes the known facts:

At once, Joel Kelso (CFMoto Racing Prüstel GP) takes orders. The Australian, already prominent on his land at Phillip Island, shines once again.
All changes as finally everyone sets a lap time! ✅@joelkelso66 holds top spot with five mins to go! 👏#ThaiGP 🇹🇭 pic.twitter.com/WFy0EfDiJ8

Finally, after a relatively calm session, it was Joel Kelso who took the Q1 group ahead David munoz (KTM Boé Motorsports), Stefano Nepa (KTM Angeluss MTA Team) and Adrian fernandez (Honda Leopard Racing). The poleman remains to be determined!
Soooo, at the end of that @joelkelso66 leads them through to Q2! 💪@david64official, @stefanonepa82 and @31AdriFernandez also advance! 👏#ThaiGP 🇹🇭 pic.twitter.com/H91ma7jDqG

Quickly, Diogo Moreira (KTM MT Helmets MSi) rises to the top, but be careful Ayumu Sasaki, the serial poleman at the start of the season. The Brazilian is hot and hot, and doesn't hesitate to jostle against Deniz Oncu, see instead:
That was closed! 😮

The Turk doesn't do well, and achieves the best time even though he was behind in the first three sectors. At a small 1'42, he is ideally placed even if he dropped to 1'41 during P3. Joel Kelso et Riccardo Rossi (Honda Sic58 Squadra Corsica) fall without gravity, but their sessions end like this. Same fate for Taiyo Furusato (Honda Team Asia), who fell while ahead halfway through the lap.

Another fall by Ryusei Yamanaka (GasGas Aspar Team) means that yellow flags cancel all attempts. Deniz Oncu is therefore in pole position in front Diogo Moreira et Ayumu Sasaki ! Jaume Masia is seventh.
POLE POSITION for @Denizoncu53! 🙌
The #AustralianGP winner will start tomorrow's Grand Prix from P1! 🔝
