In Thailand, it's time for Moto3 qualifying! After a day and a half of intensive testing, the riders were able to get the measure of the Buriram track, which is all about high speeds, both on the straights and in the curves. As in MotoGP, those who distinguished themselves during Practice are sent directly to Q2, the old format disappears to harmonize everything. Friday, Ryusei Yamanaka (KTM MT Helmets MSi) and Matteo Bertelle (KTM Levelup MTA) were fastest in FP1 and Practice. However, José Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo) should not be left out of the equation, and even less so Angel Piqueras (KTM MT Helmets MSi), who was tipped to win the championship this season by Marc Marquez. During FP2, earlier in the night, José Antonio Rueda set the clocks on fire, achieving a new lap record.

Alvaro Carpe (Red Bull KTM Garlic), the brilliant rookie winner of the JuniorGP and the Red Bull Rookies Cup in 2024 is not ridiculous either.
