Moto3 Valencia P3

The first day in Valencia was eventful in Moto3, so what will happen in P3. During P2, several favorites made mistakes, and some, very seriously. We are thinking of Deniz Oncu (Red Bull KTM Ajo), David Munoz (KTM Boé Motorsports) and of course, David Alonso (GasGas Aspar Team), twice on the floor. But yet, one man came out unscathed; Daniel Holgado (Red Bull KTM Tech3), pole-sitter in Qatar and first in both sessions. Can he offer himself one last victory in 2023? In any case, the two protagonists of the championship are not going to let it happen. Jaume Masia (Honda Leopard Racing), already titled a week ago, will be there as always, exactly like his rival Ayumu Sasaki (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP).

So don't miss this Moto3 P3 in Valencia, even if you already know the result. Before we begin, here is a table which summarizes the known facts:

The weather is always nice but cool in Valencia, the third largest city in Spain. Deniz Oncu et David Alonso, victims of big falls yesterday, are declared fit to take to the track.

We then learn that CFMoto withdraws from the world, thus putting an end to the commitment ensured by Prüstel Racing GP ! The pilots learned this yesterday. Xavi Artigas should bounce back in Moto2, but Riccardo rossi, currently at Honda Sic58 Squadra Corsica, which was to replace Joel Kelso, has nowhere to go!

And it's David munoz who takes the lead, without waiting. He also had a big fall yesterday, but seems to have come back well. The rookie Collin Veijer (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP) is also there. The Dutchman, winner at Sepang, even takes the reins of this round. Then, it's the other promising rookie but discreet all year long Philip Farioli (Red Bull KTM Tech3) who passes in front. Joel Kelso, without solutions for next year, is very well placed, as is Daniel Holgado.

Deniz Oncu hurts, but it's not ridiculous! The Turk is slowly getting into shape, and he is right; he is directly qualified for Q2, but we must not let ourselves be lulled.

Huge fall for Scott Ogden (Honda VisionTrack Racing) ! The Briton flew away and appeared to be hit in the shoulder. Very bad sign two full days before the end of the season.

Ayumu Sasaki finally gets into the rhythm, and puts himself at the level of the best. Then, it's Daniel Holgado which increases the pace, he who had dominated Friday significantly.

On the track, everyone improves; difficult to draw conclusions five minutes from time. Finally, it is Joel Kelso who finishes this P3 in the lead, ahead Ayumu Sasaki et Daniel Holgado. The Australian, without handlebars for next year, is rebelling!

In the last moments, we thought that the sudden improvement in David Alonso would move him to Q2, and thus eliminate James Masia of this decisive session. He placed third on the line, but his time was canceled for exceeding track limits. We will therefore find the Colombian in Q1 a little later today.
