Izan Guevara will start from pole position in the Moto3 class Grand Prix of the Valencian Community, 20th and final stage of the 2022 World Championship scheduled for Sunday in Valencia. The 2022 World Champion in the Moto3 category dominated qualifying by setting the best lap in 1'38.479, beating Tech3 rider Deniz Oncu by just 46 thousandths and his teammate Sergio Garcia by 0.175s.
Second line for Diogo Moreira (KTM MT Helmets – MSI), Ayumu Sasaki (Husqvarna Max Racing Team) and Ivan Ortolà (KTM MTA). Dennis Foggia with the seventh time the third row will open, where we also find his teammate Tatsuki suzuki et Ryusei Yamanaka (KTM MT Helmets – MSI), the fastest FP3.
The winner of the Malaysian Grand Prix John McPhee (Husqvarna Max Racing Team) is tenth, ahead James Masia (KTM Red Bull Ajo) and Riccardo Rossi (Honda SIC58 Squadra Corse).
Note that Jaume Masia and Kaito Toba after the bad episode of Free Practice 3 were penalized with a start from the pit lane and a long lap penalty. Masia had entered “hard” on Toba and both found themselves on the ground. Once up, the Japanese hit the Spaniard's helmet and the latter responded by punching.
