This in no way prejudges the race which will take place this afternoon in Texas as part of the championship MotoAmerica Superbike in Austin, but Danilo Petrucci led the warm up this morning aboard his Ducati from the Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati New York team.
The Italian driver leads by 1,3 seconds Cameron Petersen promoted to Fresh N' Lean Progressive Yamaha Racing while the reigning world champion, Jake Gagne (Fresh N' Lean Progressive Yamaha Racing) remained in his box like yesterday during qualifying 2 following mechanical problems in the official Yamaha team. The two R1s had also experienced problems, Cameron Petersen only being able to align two turns before seeing abnormal smoke.
It wasn't a good Q2 session for the Fresh N Lean Progressive Yamaha Racing team on Friday afternoon, but @jakegagne and @CamPetersen72 were still able to qualify first and fourth for this weekend's two MotoAmerica Medallia Superbike races at Circuit of The Americas. @COTA pic.twitter.com/s3yLgp8BQ1

Nevertheless, it's good Jake Gagne who will start from pole position, thanks to his time achieved in Q1.
