MotoAmerica Laguna Seca, Baggers J2: Bradley Smith puts an end to Indian hegemony!

Back in the championship MotoAmerica After the break at The Ridge, the first day of the Baggers Indian and Harley-Davidson at Laguna Seca presented us with a rebound for the Milwaukee firm on the hilly asphalt of Monterey, confirmed by Bradley Smith on Saturday.

While the category is currently completely dominated by Hayden Gillim aat the handlebars of his factory Indian Challenger J&P Cycles/Motul/Vance & Hines and his teammate Troy Herfoss, Kyle Wyman had taken provisional pole position, ahead of his teammate Bradley Smithas Troy HerfossOn the Indian, he completed the top 3. A performance that gave the Harley-Davidson camp a little more hope. Kyle Wyman having shown in the past that he was formidable on this circuit, having set a lap record of 1'27.524 in 2025!

On Saturday morning, for the second qualifying session, the reigning champion was once again in the news, but this time by spilling oil from his Road Gide on the track after the Corkscrew, the reason for his disqualification after the session was stopped by red flags.

The long, very long, interruption to repair the asphalt ultimately led to the session not being resumed, rendering it meaningless and thus confirming the previous day's standings to determine the starting grid.

Bradley Smith will end this attempt in the very next round in the Corkscrew, leading a quintet also composed of Tyler O'Hara (SDI Racing) Hayden Gillim et Kyle Wyman, who will take the little train to the finish line.
