The Fresh N' Lean Attack Performance Yamaha Racing team, which represents Yamaha in MotoAmerica, is lining up a third bike for Toni Elias for the next round of MotoAmerica Superbike which will take place at New Jersey Motorsports Park from September 3 to 10.

The 2 Moto2010 world champion and 2017 MotoAmerica Superbike champion had a very good first weekend on the Fresh N' Lean Attack Performance Yamaha R1, with a second and an fourth place whilehe replaced Josh Herrin affected by Covid during the previous round at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex.

The Spaniard will therefore find as a reward the undisputed leader of the American Superbike championship, Jake Gagne, and, possibly, Josh Herrin, if the latter does not have to be absent due to birth. In this case, it will indeed be three Yamaha R1s which will be lined up during a three-part meeting on the 2,25 mile circuit of Millville, New Jersey. Otherwise, Toni Elias will take the place of Josh Herrin, like in Pittsburgh.

Richard Stanboli, Fresh N' Lean Attack Performance Yamaha Racing Team Director: “ We are excited to have Toni Elias for another round on our Yamaha R1 at NJMP. He did a good job at PIRC, going straight to the podium, and we are confident he will have another good race at NJMP. His energy is refreshing, he's like a kid in a candy store with the Yamaha R1.
We're also excited to have Josh Herrin back after missing the last two events. I'm sure he'll be eager to do a few laps and will quickly get his rhythm back. Herrin is also expecting his first child just before or over the weekend, so we congratulate him on that. »
« Pulling lessons from the last two events and all the last minute decisions made, we are taking precautions for this event. If Josh were to miss any part of the race due to unforeseen complications, then Toni will be there to fulfill our obligations with MotoAmerica, Yamaha and all of our sponsors. If all goes well for Josh, we will have three riders racing in the Superbike class. We have run a three-rider team in the past, but this will be a first for us in the Superbike category. This will certainly be a challenge, which is why we have brought in additional resources. Personally, I will be very happy to see all three bikes on the grid and see them fighting for victory. It should be a fun weekend. »

Toni Elias, Fresh N' Lean Attack Performance Yamaha Racing: “ I'm very grateful that they gave me another opportunity. Pittsburgh was perhaps the worst circuit for me because it doesn't suit my driving style. I think New Jersey suits me a little more, and I'm looking forward to being there, working again and trying to have a good result. »
