Matteo Ferrari (Trentino Gresini MotoE) kept his perfect FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup record intact at World Circuit Misano Marco Simoncelli this Sunday, taking victory at the Lenovo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix.

That's three wins in two years at home for the reigning World Cup winner, and it's also his first victory of 2020, which puts him back in the race for the Cup. Xavier Simeon (LCR E-Team) and Dominique Aegerter (Dynavolt Intact GP) complete the podium after another very close meeting in MotoE™.

The poleman Mattia Casadei (Ongetta SIC58 Squadracorse) got off to an excellent start on home turf and quickly got into a good rhythm, while Simeon made the exterior to Lukas Tulovic (Tech3 E-Racing) at turns 1 and 2 to take second position. Turn 8 saw Josh Hook (Octo Pramac MotoE) go off the track, before many riders, including Tulovic, do not make any mistakes at turn 13. Tulovic then fell out of the top 10, while the leader Casadei took a half-second lead on the first lap.

But the Italian was quickly overtaken by Simeon and his pursuers. In the second lap, five riders competed for the lead of the peloton: Casadei, Siméon, Ferrari, Jordi Torres (Pons Racing 40) and agitated, the leader of the ranking. The numerous overruns allowed Mike Di Meglio (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) to catch up with the group to lead a fight on 12 wheels for the final victory.

However, no one could stop Matteo Ferrari to cross the finish line in the lead, even though the gap between the six leading drivers was only 0,7 seconds.

In the championship, agitated is 12 points ahead of Ferrari.

Next weekend will see two MotoE™ races at Misano, with one clear favorite…
