So... We can of course say that the MotoEs don't make any noise, that they are heavy (260 kilos), that the races will not last 20 laps or that the promised ecological generators are still not there ( they should be in Misano), and all this is true!

The fact remains that today we witnessed the true birth of a new category, with 18 riders in charge of deciding between each other on the handlebars of strictly identical Energica motorcycles.

And as is the case with all Superpoles, the show is well-established, with a reverse running order compared to the test results, and allows the suspense to be maintained until the end.

The show had the good taste of offering machines making their rear tires smoke while drifting when accelerating despite the more than 300 kg made up of the motorcycle plus driver assembly: Surprising!

Also a pleasure to see well-known faces giving their all, like Mike Di Meglio ou Xavier Simeon.

But, it must be recognized, Niki Tuuli (Ajo MotoE) had no use for the suspense generated by riders running in a "small" 1'28 and staying within 2 tenths: The Finnish rider truly impressed his world by relegating 2nd, Héctor Garzó (Tech 3 E-racing), more than 7/10.

Will it be the same tomorrow for the first MotoE race? Nothing is less certain and we advise you to be in front of your screens at 10 a.m. for this historic premiere...
