The first MotoE World Cup pre-season test concluded yesterday after three days of intense testing for all 17 riders on track. A final day where the Italian driver Matteo Ferrari, first world champion in the specialty in 2019, said goodbye to Jerez by setting the best time of the day (1'47.494), the absolute best of the three days, improving by a tenth the best reference of the day before and almost a second the best time of the first day.

Three half-hour sessions per day, separated by just over two and a half hours, with the aim of completely recharging the batteries with the new charging stations that have been introduced for the occasion, this is the time that the teams and drivers spent on track throughout these sessions favored by the excellent weather conditions with temperatures close to 30 degrees in the case of yesterday.

Today morning session started at 9:30 am and ended at 10:00 am. During this session, the Belgian driver Xavier Simeon (LCR E-Team) was the fastest with a time of 1'48.178. The second was Matteo Ferrari (Trentino Gresini MotoE) with a time of 1'48.430, while the French Mike Di Meglio (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) was in third position in 1'48.435.

 

 

 

During the second training session, only two drivers were able to run in 1'47, the Italian Matteo Ferrari who stopped the clock in 1.47.494 and the Swiss Dominique Aegerter (Dynavolt Intact GP) in 1'47.935. The third best time of the session was set by the Brazilian Eric Granado (Avintia Esponsorama) with a time of 1'48.152.

 

 

 

The Swiss pilot Dominique Aegerter dominated the third and final session of the day with a time of 1'47.719. The second best time of this session was achieved by the Brazilian Eric Granado who stopped the clock in 1'47.746, while the Briton Bradley Smith (With U Motorsport) finished third in 1'47.873.

Another round of testing is scheduled for April 8-10 at the same location.
