After the total destruction of MotoE equipment that occurred during testing in Jerez, the organizers are currently doing their utmost to ensure that this first edition of the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup takes place.

The problem consists of rebuilding around twenty motorcycles, many elements of which come from various subcontractors, but also finding possible dates within the European events of the MotoGP championship.

For the time being, the MotoE race scheduled to take place during the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez has officially been canceled, and the French round will also not be able to take place on the Bugatti circuit in Le Mans.

When press conference to present the French Grand Prix, a probable first round at the end of June was mentioned, therefore in Assen.

But according to our information, this hope will probably not come true, and the time necessary to build the motorcycles, which largely depends on subcontractors, as well as to carry out 3 days of preliminary tests (no question of giving in to haste, for obvious safety reasons), would rather the first round of this cup at the earliest at the Sachsenring (July 7) and at the latest at the Red Bull Ring (August 11).

However, with the Pacific tour included in the 2nd part of the season, there are not many dates left to keep the 5 meetings initially planned, even by putting the final in Valencia, which now seems more or less certain…

In the best case scenario, this would result in a FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup whose scope could remain at 5 events. Otherwise, 4 or even 3 races could make up the first edition of this competition, which, given recent events, would already be a sort of tour de force!

July 7: Sachsenring – German Grand Prix?
August 11: Red Bull Ring – Austrian Grand Prix
August 25: Silverstone – British Grand Prix?
September 15: Misano – San Marino Grand Prix
November 17: Valencia – Valencia Grand Prix
