The 2016 season is not yet over and the world title not quite awarded, but it seems that eyes and energies are already focused on 2017. Valentino Rossi mobilizes Yamaha by warning good work done by Honda which is already testing its new engines. At Ducati we are preparing for the arrival of Lorenzo who will leave Yamaha. A departure and arrival that the Japanese manufacturer will not facilitate.
Indeed, Jorge Lorenzo will be under Yamaha contract until the end of 2016. Before this term, there will be no question of Por Fuera messing with Ducati, his new employer. The Japanese brand will, however, accept that the day after the last Valencia Grand Prix, the Majorcan does a few laps on the Desmosedici.
A situation that Ducati confirmed through a comment collected by GP One near Paolo Ciabatti : " This is correct and this is the reason why we are working hard to offer a 2017 prototype to Jorge from the Monday following the last Grand Prix of the season in Valencia. This will be our only opportunity to get feedback from him. But we will be on time and there will be one bike for Lorenzo and another for Dovizioso ».
We just have to hope that it won't rain during these two days in Valencia. Now, Yamaha is nicer than Honda which had completely banned Valentino Rossi to touch the Yamaha at the end of the 2003 campaign…
