In MotoGP in general and at Aprilia in particular, we are not idle. The Valencia tests showed a certain activity which, however, remains the responsibility of the sole Aleix Espargaró. It is in fact the only one that can make the transition between the new RS-GP and the previous one. Because Andrea Iannone is just getting his bearings, just like designated test driver Bradley Smith. A hell of a responsibility...

Because there is work to be done. Not only will the Noale firm have to decide between two engines, but also it will have to discriminate between two chassis… Alex Espargaro completed 55 laps in Valencia and set his best time in 37th in 1'31.400. That’s a good tenth time.

Il commente : ” in Valencia we did a good job. I tried a new chassis and continued testing on the new engine that I had driven on the first of the two days of testing. The feeling was good, although I want to see everything again in Jerez, a very different track from this one and more indicative. We know well the areas in which we must work and the arrival of two new experienced pilots helps us target our priorities. A demanding winter awaits us because these two days have confirmed the level of the championship that awaits us. It will undoubtedly be superior to the one which has just ended ".

See you now in Jerez at the end of next week. A track which will have been heated by the Moto2 who are launching their preliminaries with a view to 2019 from now on…
