The news went almost unnoticed in a Czech Republic Grand Prix which marked the return of MotoGP after the summer break. A recovery period that the drivers wanted to be a little longer, but they learned in Brno that it will in fact probably be shorter. And from next year! Mexico is indeed arriving on the calendar, to the great dismay of one Valentino Rossi who warns...

Mexico will be on the Grand Prix calendar next year. It will be in April and on an Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez track… Which is not yet approved by the FIM! Expensive work will have to be carried out to bring this circuit up to motorcycle standards. But Dorna's boss Carlos Ezpeleta has warned : " you need to get comfortable with the idea that we will go to Mexico in 2019, even if the track is not in ideal conditions"

A perspective that caused a reaction Valentino Rossi : " I'm not at all enthusiastic. Firstly because the calendar increases to 20 Grands Prix, and that means that we will no longer have a life! Then, it's a very bad circuit. I do not like him. He is dangerous. They will have to make in-depth modifications to approve it and it will not be easy. For me, this is not a good idea ».
