The 2022 MotoGP season, which ended after the Grand Prix in Valencia, produced its share of statistics, including the most important for riders, those of crashes.

Quite logically, it is a rookie, who also skipped the Moto2 category, who holds the sad record for loss of control this year, Darryn binder. The WithU Yamaha RNF MotoGP Team rider has totaled 27 crashes throughout the 9 kilometers he has covered this year, an average of one fall every 266 kilometers. He precedes another rookie, Marco Bezzecchi, author of 23 falls during the 9995 kilometers covered, or one error every 434 kilometers.

When you are constantly playing on the razor's edge, these are ultimately not staggering figures, which clearly shows the level of performance of all these MotoGP riders.

French side, Johann zarco is rather one of the turbulent students, with 18 falls which make him the 7th pilot having made the most mistakes, i.e. a fall every 566 kilometers out of the 10 kilometers covered. We know the commitment of the Prima Pramac Racing driver and we can't blame him for trying everything...
Conversely, fabio quartararo committed only 7 errors, the same number as last year, i.e. one ground pass every 1 kilometers for 482 kilometers traveled, which makes him the 10nd best student in the category, tied with Luca marini and, surprise, Alex Rins.

Before them, very detached, Maverick Vinales is at the top of the class, with only 2 falls per 10 kilometers, or one fall for every 047 kilometers covered. More under control, there was none this year!

Finally, and this is undoubtedly a good sign, we must include in these statistics a driver who was not there in all the races, Marc Márquez, which shows by its 18 falls during 6 kilometers, that it has not lost its habit of going to test the limit during the test sessions, before showing great reliability in the race. In the end, the Repsol Honda rider crashed his RC119V every 213 kilometers, the worst figure in the category although very close to that of Darryn binder. The circle is complete…

105 falls took place at Portimão, making it the most accident-prone circuit this year, unlike Termas de Rio Honda, the safest with 34 accidents recorded.

Last year, Iker Lecuona had hit the asphalt 26 times, unlike Franco Morbidelli at 2.
