MotoGP is approaching its summer break, a deadline which is also the one set by many to solidify their plans for 2022, and beyond. And this stage will be marked at the end of this month of June, after the Grands Prix of Germany at Sachsenring and the Netherlands at Assen. Needless to say, it's tomorrow. Some positions have already been allocated, others are in the process of being allocated. Here is an overview of the transfer market before the two decisive weeks that are about to begin.

Le MotoGP 2022 will not be quite the same as that of 2021. But there will still be stables where we will see the status quo since the contracts in force have a value of two years. This is the case of Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP with fabio quartararo et Maverick Vinales, from Suzuki Ecstar with Joan mir et alex rins, from LCR Honda Castrol/Idemitsu with Alex Marquez et Takaaki Nakagami.

This is also the situation with Petronas Yamaha SRT and Franco Morbidelli, from Aprilia Racing Team Gresini with Alex Espargaro and Ducati with Francis Bagnaia. At Repsol Honda, the nuance is that if Pol Espargaro has a lease until 2022, Marc Marquez has its place guaranteed until 2024.

So much for those who didn't have to worry about anything. Let's move on to those who have recently become reassured, but only for one more season... A precariousness which is the norm among Ducati which therefore only renewed for 12 months Jack Miller, George Martin et Johann zarco, the last two cities remaining within the Pramac satellite team. At the house of KTM, we are no longer in the long-term contract since Brad Binder is now assured of its fate until 2024. In this group, we also note a promotion with Remy gardner who will leave his Moto2 at the end of this season to settle in MotoGP thanks to its agreement with KTM who places him with Tech3.

And then there are still the undecided. This first concerns two teams who must clearly confirm the brand of the two motorcycles which will be in their box. It is Gresini and the new brand Aramco VR46 rising on the foundations of Avintia Racing which will disappear from the landscape. In all likelihood, in both cases, it will be Ducati.

MotoGP 2022: 5 teams and 7 handlebars to be confirmed

From there, we can speculate about the drivers. Academic side of Valentino Rossi, we are waiting for confirmation of Luca marini. For his teammate, we talk a lot about a Marco Bezzecchi who still has to convince in Moto2. At the house of Gresini, we had already promised to Fabio DiGiannantonio a rise in MotoGP. His box companion should be Enea Bastianini which Ducati values.

The case Petronas depends on what will be decided soon Valentino Rossi. Or what will be suggested to him by Yamaha in view of its unsatisfactory results. To be the teammate of Franco Morbidelli, which should finally recover a latest generation Yamaha, Petronas should logically draw from its Moto2 pool. But the level does not seem to be there to such an extent that the Malaysians have launched an offensive towards Raul fernandez, yet in KTM colors.

We also don't know who will beAleix Espargaro at Aprilia. Lorenzo Savadori currently rides for them, but Andrea Dovizioso joined them as a test driver and the Forli native has never hidden his desire to return to competition in 2022. However, he procrastinates, so much so that Noale's men have approached Joe Roberts, who had already said no to them during the offseason.

Finally there is the case KTM with the team Tech3 KTM Factory Racing which only has one rider signed to date. It is Remy gardner. Raúl Fernández is also on the radar, and even more so since he is already in Mattighofen's family. A diagram that would put Danilo Petrucci et Iker Lecuona on the market.

It will also be noted that Miguel Oliveira is theoretically free at the end of this season. But its renewal on the KTM official is a priori formality. To finish, here is a reminder of the places that are still to be confirmed:

– Petronas Yamaha SRT handlebars.

– Tech3 KTM Factory Racing handlebars.

– Factory Aprilia handlebars.

– Gresini Racing two handlebars with manufacturer yet to be confirmed.

– SKY VR46 two handlebars with the manufacturer still to be confirmed.

Meet at Sachsenring next weekend for new items.
