Fabiano Sterlacchini

It is a completely revamped Aprilia Racing team that is presenting itself live today, against a backdrop of suspense regarding the probable #1 worn by the world champion MotoGP In title George Martin on the nose of the fairing of his RS-GP 2025.

But this relative uncertainty regarding the first independent MotoGP™ World Champion of the modern era seems to be a bit like the tree hiding the forest in Noale, so many are the question marks, following the upheaval suffered by the Italian team.

Decapitated by the departures of Romano Albesiano, Aleix Espargaro et Maverick Vinales Having respectively succumbed to the sirens of Honda and KTM/Tech3, the factory near Venice is lining up this year a brand new trio composed of Fabiano Sterlacchini, George Martin et Marco Bezzecchi, still under the general direction of Massimo rivola and with Lorenzo Savadori as a test pilot.

Without this prejudging future results on the circuits, this is in fact a new era for the Piaggio group brand, and everyone is well aware of this.

Massimo rivola, Managing Director of Aprilia Racing: “The 2025 season represents the beginning of a new era for Aprilia Racing. Our ambition is to be leaders, not followers. Our goal is clear: to be competitive at every race. With two talented, fierce and motivated riders like Jorge Martín and Marco Bezzecchi, and an equally determined team and company, we can create something special. The RS GP25 has incredible potential and our job will be to make sure we get the most out of it in each of the 22 races of the championship.”

Fabiano Sterlacchini, Technical Director of Aprilia Racing: “Our goal for 2025 is to be consistently competitive, both in the sprints and in the longer races, with a focus on optimising results throughout the season. It is absolutely essential that we continue to develop by working with two new and extremely talented riders. This is truly a new era for us, and a major change after many years, both in terms of the management of the technical side and the rider team. We are particularly excited about this new season and proud to welcome two renowned riders to MotoGP, including a World Champion.”

From midday this Thursday, several answers will therefore be provided, while waiting for those that only the track will be able to provide for the brand with  54 world titles won during his young career, from 1992 to today…

Aprilia has accustomed us to a certain humor during its previous presentations, so we are already looking forward to it!
