The MotoGP rider market remains under tension with many uncertainties and several places still to be filled. One of the teams at the center of this turmoil is Prima Pramac, as the departure of Jorge Martin to the Aprilia factory team is now confirmed. Miguel Oliveira joins the ranks.
Miguel Oliveira, currently competing for TrackHouse Racing, is one of the drivers without a contract for 2025. He drives the Aprilia RS-GP, a competitive bike but still below the level of the Desmosedici GP. According to MotoSprint, rumors are circulating about contacts between Olive tree and the Italian team, potentially facilitated by its sponsor, Red Bull, which also sponsors Martin.
For Olive tree, join a Ducati is an attractive prospect, given that it's currently the best-performing motorcycle. He encounters difficulties with Aprilia, but the possibility of piloting a Ducati could be a golden opportunity. However, the question remains: Olive tree would it really be an asset for Pramac ?

At Pramac, a place is up for grabs and Miguel Oliveira will try his luck
Other options within the sphere Ducati exist, like the VR46 pilots, Fabio Di Giannantonio et Marco Bezzecchi, both efficient. Bezzecchi, in particular, finished third at the World Championship last year, making him a strong contender.
Otherwise, Fermin Aldeguer is planned to make the jump to MotoGP with Pramac. If Olive tree or another driver was to join the team, this could mean the departure of Franco Morbidelli. Despite a difficult start to the season due to injury, number 21 is adapting well and is getting closer to competing at the top.
The future remains uncertain, but one thing is clear: the MotoGP rider market remains in turmoil with second-place finishers vying for places after the tight ends have set their future in stone. Decisions made in the coming months will shape the starting grid for the 2025 season.
