Marc Marquez's dominance this season has been the subject of much discussion.. For a long time, it was suspected that the Spanish rider could dominate if he were put on the Ducati, something he has only been able to prove since the beginning of this year. Moreover, the eight-time world champion rides with his head, without getting carried away, taking fewer risks, also because he has a much better bike than before. Jaime Alguersuari, three seasons of F1 under his belt for the now-defunct Toro Rosso, spoke about the phenomenon.
The former Spanish rider – and DJ – who is also a MotoGP fan, has not missed a beat of his compatriot's exploits since the start in Thailand. « Honda never cared about making a better motorcycle. They had MarcAnd Marc gave it his all: his talent and his life. No one in MotoGP today is willing to do that. The anti-Márquez circuits have disappeared because they were actually anti-Honda. Márquez no longer has that problem with the Ducati. Left, right… whatever" could we read in the columns of Motosan.

Of course, some people think that Ducati favors Marc Marquez when it comes to developing the Desmosedici. But Alguersuari refutes this hypothesis, as he wouldn't even need that. « The factory doesn't need to favor anyone. Marc alone makes the difference. He has something extra, a divine connection that has saved him from even serious injuries, after more than a thousand falls » he added.
At the Sachsenring, we saw him refrain from attacking in qualifying, which is rather rare when you remember his Honda years. Is this a logical development? « This Marc who fell twice the other day is Marc Honda. He never stopped taking risks. The fact is, he now has a bike that allows him to do so. We thought Márquez had nothing left to offer. But what he's showing now is that he simply needed a motorcycle that allowed him to be himself." he concluded.
