Box Repsol had fun imagining the ideal circuit for the Spanish driver. Neither one nor two, we offer you the translation to take full advantage of it.

This is MarcLand, a circuit that we are sure would delight Marc Márquez. The MarcLand is a fast track full of changes in angles, height differences, sectors with very close turns as well as very high top speeds. 5,874 km long, it has 23 turns (9 right, 14 left), with a speed of up to 350 km/h.

Sector 1: The MarcLand is done counterclockwise, but that's not surprising. The majority of Márquez's favorite circuits take place in this direction. Sector 1 is inspired by turns 1 to 4 of Phillip Island. This part has both closed and open corners which greatly benefit drivers who brake hard and open the throttle hard. Three of these four corners have names, on their original layout, directly linked to the Repsol Honda team: the Doohan, Stoner and Honda corners.

Sector 2: If MarcLand really existed, the second sector would be a complex puzzle for much of the grid, but probably Márquez's favorite in the entire championship as he has not one but two Corkscrews! Turns 7 and 8 correspond to turns 8 and 9 of Aragon, a downhill sector, very technical with closed turns. Once past the corner, we arrive at the legendary Corkscrew of Laguna Seca at turns 10 and 11. These intertwined curves are the kind of things that greatly appeal to a large number of drivers, including number 93.

Sector 3: The Sachsenring is one of his favorite tracks for many reasons. For variety, MarcLand does not focus on the turns making up its first technical sector, but on the section which precedes the fastest sector. Turn 16 is based on turn 11 at the Sachsenring. After driving in very fast curves and to the left from the 12th, we finally arrive at a right turn which is more downhill. A mistake here can be catastrophic because the right side of the wheel will be colder since the grip suddenly changes. But getting through the bend is a great satisfaction, and we very quickly arrive at the longest straight where we reach 350km/h. Finally, the sector ends in front of a very pronounced climb with a sharp bend.

Sector 4: It would be impossible to leave out a circuit like that of the Americas on MarcLand, the track which arrived in the World Championship the same year as Marc Márquez and on which he totally dominated for six consecutive years. The final sector faithfully imitates turns 1 to 5 of the original circuit. After a short and intense climb as well as a slow and closed bend, we head towards several very close bends.

With 23 turns and a very fast sector, MarcLand is a circuit of all extremes. All types of turns present challenges at every turn and complicate the motorcycle's settings and electronics. The circuit is clearly not easy, but what driver doesn't like a challenge? Certainly not Marc Márquez!
