Thanks to its beautiful 6th place acquired in Catalonia, the second in a row after Mugello, Luca marini has entered the top 15 of the general classification of the world championship, a positive trend which he intends to confirm during the German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring circuit.

Now at the head of a capital of 41 points, the leader of the Mooney VR46 Racing Team has now Maverick Vinales in line of sight, only 5 points in front, but will also have to cover his rear, Pol Espargaro only conceding a small point…
The brother of Valentino Rossi therefore seems to have taken the measure of his fiery teammate, Marco Bezzecchi, who however leads the ranking of rookies ahead Darryn Binder et Fabio Di Giannantonio.

For the final stretch before the summer break, the two boys will have to face Germany and the Netherlands a week apart, two circuits very different from each other, demanding and with very driving skills. particular.

Still on the finish line so far and in the Top10 during the last three GPs, Luca marini will get back to work on his Desmosedici in Germany to further reduce the distance that separates him from the very front runners, on a track where he obtained his first career podium (2018, Moto2). A track with violent climbs and descents, characterized by ten left turns where he hopes to take another step forward.

Curious to test the 3,7 km German turnstile with the Ducati MotoGP, Marco Bezzecchi, on the podium at the Sachsenring twice in Moto3 (2018) and Moto2 (2021), is ready to confirm his current primacy among the rookies and, above all, to forget his blank result in Catalonia.

For a team that will soon reach its first half-year of existence in the MotoGP category, the work appears similar to the results: solid!

Luca marini : " The Sachsenring is a very special circuit. In MotoGP, it is even more so, if we consider the size of the track, small compared to average, and the points where you can overtake. We will continue to work to take advantage of this positive trend and be able to stay in the wake of the fastest drivers from Friday. It will also be essential to do well in qualifying to start with the leading group in the race. I have a lot of good memories on this circuit: my first podium in the World Championship in 2018, one more reason to enjoy the GP on a unique track of its kind. «

Marco Bezzecchi : " I'm curious to try the Ducati on this type of track: really complicated, very short, small, without a real straight line and with violent changes in the ascents and descents. Also, from a driving point of view, most of the turns are left and I hope that won't be a problem. After the last two consecutive races, between Mugello and Barcelona, I had difficulty with my left arm. I took part in the Barcelona test and then took full advantage of the week to recover. I feel good and I can't wait to get back to work on a circuit which has given me great satisfaction in the past and where I hope to confirm myself in the Top10, or in the first 12 positions. »

Paul Grandson : " Two very fast races, a week of rest and we are back on track immediately for two more races in a row on two really very different, but at the same time challenging circuits. Let's continue to work, take advantage of the current positive trend to confirm the progress made in recent weeks and bring both drivers into the Top10. The Sachsenring circuit is really special and it is difficult to make predictions: we will take advantage of Friday's free practice sessions to understand the real values of each one. »
