It's time for the summer break to arrive! The organizations indeed have a certain rate of wear and tear for this ninth round of the MotoGP championship which fills the Grand Prix infirmary. We know that Jorge Lorenzo is already recovering, we see Nakagami gritting his teeth and walking painfully with crutches, we saw Fabio Quartararo crumpling his shoulder and now it is Danilo Petrucci who will have to fight against the pain for the 30 laps of the German Grand Prix…
Danilo Petrucci had a good one at the fast turn 9 of the Sachsenring circuit as he tried to improve his fortune in Q2 with his Ducati. A factory that had already lost its leader Dovizioso, victim of Q1, while his satellite driver Jack Miller, he saved his honor with a fifth place.
A mission expected from Danilo Petrucci to the contract just renewed until 2020. Unfortunately, he fell, in a curve which had got the better of the knee ligaments of Mika Kallio one year ago. That's to say if we're not kidding with turn 9... Petrux lost control of his Ducati at high speed to go into a rollover in the gravel trap which first struck him.
Then the Italian came to his senses and felt himself with his right hand. After extensive medical examinations at the MotoGP Medical Center, it was discovered that Petrucci had the ligaments in the first finger of his right hand affected.
The Ducati rider is now receiving the necessary treatment for his injury and will be able to compete in the German Grand Prix tomorrow. Despite the heavy fall, Petrucci was lucky and can continue the adventure. He will rush twelfth. One place better than his teammate Dovizioso.
