1'20.195 Marc Márquez (2019)

When the red lights go out, in the absence of Franco Morbidelli who ended up falling in Q1, it was Alex Marquez who has the privilege of setting off first and benefiting from a free track.

For once, fabio quartararo don't leave last since Pol I will espargaro, just drafted from Q1, catches his breath in his box.

The tires chosen by each:

From the first round launched, Marc Márquez in the wake of his brother Álex, achieves the best time in 1'20.567.

fabio quartararo positions himself in second position but his lap is canceled for having crossed the limits of the track. In the next passage, The Devil continued his effort and this time scored 1'20.437.

Validating a good time during the first run is always important, because yellow flags are always likely to intervene to cancel times achieved at the last minute...

After this first run, the hierarchy is made up of Fabio Quartararo, Marc Márquez, Jorge Martin, Aleix Espargaró, Takaaki Nakagami, Francesco Bagnaia, Miguel Oliveira, Jack Miller, Johann Zarco, Álex Rins, Álex Márquez and Pol I will espargaro who still hasn't hit the track.

On resumption, Jack Miller, then positioned eighth, lights up the first two sectors in red, which is far from the first time, but manages to improve his best times in the 3rd and 4th sectors, which earns him provisional second place.

Pol I will espargaro positions himself behind fabio quartararo to use it as a focal point, but the Frenchman is hampered by the traffic. We then witness the somewhat distressing spectacle of the MotoGP riders who behave as in Moto3, waiting in slow motion outside the trajectory...

fabio quartararo decides to take the bull by the horns and sets off, always followed by Pol I will espargaro.

The Yamaha rider then achieves 1'20.247, thus managing to place the only 4-cylinder in line in the top 10, but is immediately overtaken by Johann zarco in 1'20.236. In the process, perhaps distracted for a moment by the presence of fabio quartararo, the Pramac Racing driver fell at high speed in turn #4, fortunately without gravity.

In the last minute, Takaaki Nakagami crash in the first corner, which leads to the appearance of yellow flags and cancels any chances of improvement.

In extremis, Jack Miller fails to improve whileAleix I will espargaro hoists his Aprilia RS–GP to the front row, behind the two French riders.
