The series of turns at the Sachsenring should also please the GSX-RR. Moreover, Kidneys has an opportunity to enter the summer break with the status of second in the championship, conditional on mastering the Ducati of Dovizioso and Petrucci. " Our good work in Assen was not rewarded. But the positive facts remain, I felt very strong throughout the weekend " said Kidneys. " I'm happy to be able to go straight to Germany, I can't wait to get back on the track ».

« Apparently our bike suits the very tight and narrow Sachsenring circuit quite well. There is only one line for everyone, so it will be difficult to overtake, but I am up for the challenge »Assures Kidneys who knows that qualifications are not his strong point. However, he will have to push his nature this weekend in Germany and do at least as well as in Assen where he registered on the front row.

« We are looking forward to the Sachsenring because we had good pace in the past and corner speed is one of our strong points. So this suits us » declared the team leader of Kidneys, Manuel Cazeaux. " Although for one reason or another we never managed to put it all together and have a great race, I hope it will be different ».

« From a technical point of view, the key is speed in the corners. It is essential to have good traction when exiting. There are three hard braking points, and in the last corner you need a lot of handling, but you need a balanced bike, because if you concentrate too much in one area you will have to compromise elsewhere ».

His teammate and beginner, Joan mir, briefly inherited the lead after the fall of the Suzuki 42 and spent a good part of the race fighting against the factory Ducatis, only to fall to eighth place when its soft rear tire resigned in the final laps. “ I hope to do a little better in Sachsenring and continue to improve as I have done all season, especially in the last rounds " explain Mir

« It helps to come straight from Assen, where I had a good feeling and a good pace despite “only” 8th place. I feel like I can easily finish in the Top 10 or Top 8, that's a very positive thing. The aim in Germany is simply to work hard, with the team, to get another good result ».

A previous streak of four consecutive shutouts means that Mir is currently only 14th in the world championship. His best finish in MotoGP is sixth place.
