With less than a tenth of a second between the three men who make up the first row of the starting grid for the German MotoGP Grand Prix on the Sachsenring circuit, Francis Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team), fabio quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™) and Johann zarco (Prima Pramac Racing), uncertainty remains total as to the progress of the race which will take place over 30 laps.
But uncertainty also reigns for many regarding the choice of rear tire, between the medium and the hard. Saturday evening, Michelin published its technical notes in which was mentioned » Feedback confirms that the Hard front works well on this track and in these conditions, with good braking support. The general feeling is also good but the level of grip at maximum lean angles is lower compared to the Medium. For the rear, it is also the Hard specification which works well as it offers good consistency, and greater stability than the Medium option, which will also be a racing solution thanks to its high grip levels which help a lot when braking. The final choices of the drivers will be confirmed after tomorrow morning's warm-up. “
It is therefore now, even if the temperatures are very different from those of the race, that the drivers will validate their choice, although they can still change their mind on the grid.
The sky is still clear and the temperatures are 32° in the air and 34° on the ground as the 23 pilots prepare for this 20-minute warm-up. Let's enjoy these few live moments thanks to the official website MotoGP.com :
