Andrea Dovizioso is a discreet but stubborn man. Since 2013 he has been on a red Ducati adventure which has not always been rosy but since 2017 he has been reaping the benefits of his patience and work. On the shelves he now appears as the second most successful Grand Prix driver from the Borgo Panigale factory and in Italy he is equal to Valentino Rossi to the number of successes taken in seven years…

A story that he writes silently, slowly, but surely. With nine successes in total on the Desmosedici, he passed Loris Capirossi in the statistics of the Italian manufacturer. Since the latter has scored seven times in his career in red. In Italy, it's not nothing. For years, Capirossi seemed the only one who could get something out of a crazy but fast Ducati.

Dovizioso is therefore a part of the history of Ducati but Casey Stoner is still far away. The Australian won the world title upon his arrival at a manufacturer which was in its fourth season. He achieved 23 victories, making him the record holder for the most successful riders in Ducati history.

Once the Australian leaves, we will have to wait until 2016 and the success of Iannone in Austria to see a Ducati on the top step of the podium again. Still in this season, something begins to move in the head ofAndrea Dovizioso, which is revealed by its achievement at Sepang. Where he won his first success with Ducati, and his second of his career.

The revelation, however, came the following year at Mugello where Andrea Dovizioso dominates his national Grand Prix. At the end of 2017, he will have six victories. Today, DesmoDovi, with his ten achievements, can boast of being the second most successful Ducati rider of all time.

The objective now remains to defeat Stoner and become World Champion. Another interesting fact that should not be overlooked is thatAndrea Doviziosoas an Valentino Rossi, the most successful Italian driver of the last seven years with ten victories each.

All that remains is that the teammate Jorge Lorenzo can still hope to surpass the one we called Capirex. He is in fact at the head of three realizations and there are still five Grands Prix to go.
