Ducati is displaying a renewed approach to managing its riders for 2024, as evidenced by the recent announcement regarding Fermin Aldeguer. This initiative comes shortly after the contract renewal with Francesco Bagnaia, two-time world champion, and now seals a two-year commitment with Aldeguer, enriched with two renewal options. This configuration could thus establish a potential link between the young 18-year-old Spanish prodigy and the Borgo Panigale firm until 2029, subject to the mutual agreement of the parties concerned from 2027.

While bagnaia enjoys absolute trust from the team management Ducati Lenovo Team, the situation is less clear for his colleagues Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo Team), Franco Morbidelli (Pramac Racing), as well as for Alex et Marc Marquez of the Gresini Racing team, whose current commitments end at the end of 2024.

The future of the team Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team is also subject to speculation, with rumors suggesting a possible future affiliation with Yamaha, although Paul Grandson expressed the wish to maintain the partnership with Ducati. This occurs in a context where Yamaha is desperate to improve his M1 through increased feedback.

Ducati will have to make changes to integrate Fermin Aldeguer

George Martin has expressed his desire to join a factory team for 2025, without specifying whether he plans to stay with Ducati. It should be remembered that Ducati preferred bastianini à Martin in certain past situations.

With so many pilots under contract in MotoGP, the Borgo Panigale factory will have to make changes, in particular to integrate Aldeguer. Having signed with Ducati, it is likely that Aldeguer joins Pramac, a move to the factory team seems improbable for a novice, because it contradicts the usual conventions in vogue with the manufacturer.
