TrackHouse has officially announced that Aprilia factory tester Lorenzo Savadori will replace Miguel Oliveira at the Japanese Grand Prix, marking the 16th round of the 2024 MotoGP season. The move comes after Oliveira suffered a fractured right wrist in a crash in Mandalika, Indonesia during Free Practice 1.
Olive tree, who was taken to Sant'Ana di Parede Hospital in Lisbon, underwent surgery led by Dr. Gonçalo Moarais Sarmento to implant a plate to stabilize the fractured bone. His return to the track remains uncertain, but it is clear that he will not be able to participate in the next races.
