Undoubtedly, Miguel Oliveira was able to take advantage of the second MotoGP race weekend on the Aragón circuit to progress!

His eighth qualifying place during the Teruel Grand Prix, compared to his 18th position on the grid for the Aragón Grand Prix the previous week, is enough to show the progress made in a few days by the Tech3 team and its driver who showed himself logically rather confident after the qualifications: “I'm happy with this qualification, it's definitely a great comeback! We had managed to get through to Q2 a few times, but we were just finishing in P12, which meant we weren't able to make the most of the situation. But now I feel like we've gained a bit of speed, I feel competitive and it's clear that tomorrow we can have a good race. I think we have good pace, we will be able to manage the tires much better than last weekend, and so we have a good opportunity to score some interesting points. »

Last Sunday, although he started well from the starting grid, the Portuguese driver lost two positions in the first lap of the Gran Premio de Teruel before beginning a comeback in the second half of the race, successively doubling Cal Crutchlow, Fabio Quartararo and Maverick Vinales. The man from Lisbon was even fighting for the top 5 with Johann zarco, but ultimately had to settle for 6th place at the checkered flag, which still allowed him to pick up important points in a championship in which he still appears in the top 10 despite a difficult first round in Aragón .

The icing on the cake, in 1'48.467, Miguel Oliveira achieves the fourth fastest lap in the race, behind Franco Morbidelli, Alex Marquez and Alex Rins !

Miguel Oliveira : “I am happy with my race. I felt like I could have been a little further ahead, at least in fifth place. But it was quite difficult for me to overtake, and I took some time because it wasn't easy. I felt strong, competitive and I think it was a good comeback from last weekend. It was a consistent and very good weekend for us, with an eighth place on the grid and a sixth place in the race, so I think we did our job. We must be satisfied, although we certainly could have achieved a better result. But we have to take this as a positive and continue this in the last three races in November. »
