For this Aragon MotoGP Grand Prix, the top 10 at the end of the three pre-qualifying sessions is made up of Fabio Quartararo, Aleix Espargaro, Joan Mir, Francesco Bagnaia, Jack Miller, Jorge Martin, Pol Espargaro, Marc Márquez, Takaaki Nakagami and Enea Bastianini, while Johann Zarco, 11th, will have to go through Q1 and face Cal Crutchlow and Alex Rins…
This hierarchy was established with soft tires which no longer seem suited to the track temperature of 44° which reigns this afternoon on the Motorland Aragon circuit. This is the moment when Fabio Quartararo, until then logically equipped on hard/hard and author of the 9th fastest time of the session, returns to his box, perhaps to do like his little friends and see if the soft tire can make the duration of the race…
Asked by Jules Danilo on Canal+, Piero Taramasso (Michelin) admits that he reserves his response on this subject…
fabio quartararo actually leaves with a soft rear tire while the hierarchy is currently made up of Marc Márquez, Francesco Bagnaia, Jack Miller, Joan Mir, Johann Zarco, Aleix Espargaro, Pol Espargaro, Miguel Oliveira, Brad Binder, Fabio Quartararo, Jorge Martin, Alex Márquez, Iker Lecuona, Enea Bastianini, Cal Crutchlow, Alex Rins, Danilo Petrucci , Luca Marini, Valentino Rossi, Takaaki Nakagami, Jake Dixon and Maverick Vinales.
In the wake, Takaaki Nakagami swapped his hard tire for a medium and moved up to eighth place.
