MotoGP Aragon J1: what time are the free practice sessions this Friday?

Before taking up residence in Aragon there was a San Marino GP where Francesco Bagnaia won for the 10th time in MotoGP and the sixth time since the start of the season. He thus became only the third Ducati rider to achieve six or more victories in a single MotoGP season with Casey Stoner in 2007 (10 victories) and 2008 (6), and Andrea Dovizioso in 2017 (6). It was Bagnaia's fourth victory in four successive races, becoming the first Ducati rider to achieve four victories in as many Grand Prix races in any category. Additionally, Bagnaia became the first driver to score four (or more) wins in four successive premier class races since Marc Marquez in 2019, who won five in a row from San Marino to Australia.

Enea Bastianini had finished second at the San Marino Grand Prix for his fifth successive podium at Misano: twice in Moto2 (2020) and twice in MotoGP (in 2021). This is the fourth podium of bastianini since the start of the season, in addition to his three victories in Qatar, America and France. In Misano, bastianini crossed the line 0,034s later Francis Bagnaia, which constitutes the closest 1-2 since the 2019 and the British GP with the victory ofalex rins with 0.013s ahead of Marc Marquez.

With bagnaia et bastianini, Misano was the 20th consecutive MotoGP race with at least one rider Ducati on the podium, thus extending the Bologna factory record in this category. Additionally, Ducati riders are mounted on 22 podiums since the first race of the year in Qatar, getting closer to the record set last year: 24 MotoGP podiums.

Ducati goes to the Aragon GP with 110 points ahead of Yamaha in the MotoGP Manufacturers' World Championship and 120 on Aprilia. Ducati could win the title for the fourth time in the premier class if they finish the race with more than 125 points ahead.

Maverick Vinales finished third at Misano for his 31st MotoGP podium and his third with Aprilia, after the Dutch TT (P3) and the Dutch TT (P3). Dutch TT (P3) and the British GP (P2) this year. During the San Marino GP, Raul fernandez finished 13th and was the only rookie in the points. Marco Bezzecchi, who fell, but got back on his bike to finish 17th. He still leads the fight for the Rookie of the Year title with 68 points ahead Fabio Di Giannantonio (23 points), Darryn Binder (10) Remy gardner (9) et Raul fernandez (8)

Only one of the five rookies in MotoGP this year has already won in Aragon in one of the small categories: It is about Raul fernandez last year in Moto2. He also finished third in Moto3 at the 2020 Aragon GP and qualified on pole for both Moto3 races held at MotorLand in 2020. However, the other four rookies have already reached the podium at Aragon in one of the small categories: Remy gardner (P2 in Moto2 in 2021), Darryn binder (P2 in Moto3 in 2020/1), Marco Bezzecchi (P2 in Moto2 in 2018) and Fabio DiGiannantonio (P2 in Moto3 in 2017 and in Moto2 in 2020/2).

Honda's last MotoGP victory in Aragon dates back to Marc Marquez in 2019 from pole position. Honda is the most successful manufacturer here with seven MotoGP victories: Casey Stoner in 2011, Dani Pedrosa and in 2012 Marc Marquez in 2013, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019.

Yamaha took three MotoGP victories at MotorLand with Jorge Lorenzo in 2014 and 2015, and Franco Morbidelli in 2020/2 (Teruel).

Ducati has two MotoGP victories in Aragon: Casey Stoner won the first race at the circuit in 2010 from pole and Francesco Bagnaia won the last MotoGP race held at MotorLand last year, also from pole.

The only MotoGP victory of Suzuki in Aragon is that ofalex rins at the 2020 Aragon GP. The best result ofAprilia at MotorLand is the fourth for Aleix Espargaró in 2021. That of KTM is the fourth for Pol Espargaró in 2020/2 (Teruel).
