Miller

By leaving the stage of the first performance of MotoGP in this Aragon Grand Prix with the best time, Miller demonstrated that Motorland was perhaps no longer a hostile land for the Ducati. And for good reason: behind him, there were five others in the top 10, including the GP19 of Bastianini, it should be noted. So, the desire to succeed the compatriot Stoner who won the prize in 2010 on a Desmosedici begins to tickle the minds of the Borgo Panigale clan…

The GP21 definitely allows Ducati to no longer fear certain tracks on the MotoGP calendar. Aragon was one of those inevitabilities to face in a season. But maybe not during this one with this model. “ It's fantastic in places like turn 10 and the last two corners. I can feel a significant difference with the bike compared to 2020 », rejoices JackAss.

« But we still have some problems with the settings. However, in the mentioned corners we were struggling all along and now we have better cornering than before, you can feel it in these corners, in which you can only open the throttle slightly or maintain the throttle position evenly. I got it in the first laps today: it's good! And we can certainly benefit from this progress ».

Miller: “ Crutchlow? I don't want him in MotoGP anymore!«

On this famous progress the Australian specifies: “ we can't talk about just one part, but how the GP21 was developed. If only one thing had been the problem, we would have fixed it some time ago. It is a combination of elements, including the chassis and the operation of the engine. So I can't say what it is, but I can't complain either » he smiled.

Miller adds: " I need to sort out a few details. The bike is already doing well in the flying lap, but it is a little too nervous to maintain a good pace. So I need to improve the feeling at the front and today we did some experiments because it's the right track to do that. In the afternoon we made some changes on the second bike, but we also took the wrong direction. So tomorrow we will go back. Last year in Aragon in the two races that took place here we had some problems, the situation is now good, I like the track, it has a little bit of everything. The bike is solid although there is room for improvement. We know where to go ».

The Ducati official finishes on his friend Cal Crutchlow which he discovers in third place on the timesheet: “ it's a beast. I don't want him in MotoGP anymore! All joking aside, we are friends, we always joke together in his Motorhome. He has this grain of madness that you never know what he can pull out of the hat. For example: go quickly like he did today, I'm very happy for him. Being away from MotoGP for five months, coming back and doing this performance on Friday is really impressive ».
