After his crazy comeback yesterday afternoon, Fabio Quartararo did not make as much of an impression on Sunday in Aragon. Indeed, his race was cut short by a fairly high-speed fall at turn 5. It's a shame, because even if Yamaha's worries did not disappear with this eighth place in Sprint, this result and this battle with a struggling Pecco Bagnaia had allowed him to regain a little confidence.
Not the happiest of days for Fabio Quartararo in Aragon. His race ends as in 2022, when he was playing for the title against Bagnaia. The explanation is clear: "I tried to push more on the front tire, and I slid" could we read in the columns of speedweek after arrival. « The grip was miserable all weekend. We would have liked to use the softer tire, but Michelin forbade us from doing so for safety reasons." added the 2021 world champion.

The Frenchman was forced to acknowledge Marc Marquez's superiority over the weekend, and could not help but congratulate him. « Marc dominated all the sessions except the warm-up, I think. He was clearly the best this weekend. » he added. This is also what makes him a legend: all the drivers congratulated Marquez, and all seemed happy to see him back on top.

Asked about the clash between Pecco Bagnaia and Alex Marquez, Fabio Quartararo gave his clear opinion. « For me, when you are as wide as Alex Marquez at turn 12, you know you can't come back on the trajectory like that.. Pecco Bagnaia, for his part, held his line. For me, Alex Marquez is partly responsible." he concluded.
