Aragon Pedro Acosta

What a weekend for Pedro Acosta at Aragon! While he seemed to be in a bad way in the last few races, he has managed to distinguish himself again, and this since yesterday. His Sprint was already very strong, but today he faced equally fierce opposition, and didn't give up. Of course, he benefited from the clash between Alex Marquez and Pecco Bagnaia, but that's also what racing wants. He can congratulate himself and go calmly to Misano, a track on which he has already ridden a MotoGP and where KTM promises to make improvements.

The Spanish genius had been more discreet, but here he is again in the spotlight. Sure, he was light years behind Marc Marquez (14 seconds on the line), but a podium is a podium. And this one gives confidence. « To get this podium just after Austria, which was our worst race – a nightmare –, is really great. It wasn't easy: at the beginning of the race, I only thought about surviving, it was very difficult to manage the rear rubber. We needed it, because lately I was asking myself too many questions. I know that the conditions were special, but I needed it to restore my confidence » the Spaniard affirmed in the columns of GP One.

Pedro Acosta, moreover, almost went down after a slight collision with Jorge Martin in the reverse corkscrew. Now all that remains is to concentrate on Misano, but KTM is unlikely to have such a happy fate there. « Aragon was a really special track, with very little grip. We will understand the reality better when we arrive at Misano, and especially, during the second round that we will contest there. We still lack traction on exiting corners compared to the Ducatis. Pedrosa is working hard, and KTM will offer things at Misano. It's a track that I really like and I have the confidence now." he added. Clearly, he will be one to watch.

His podium is due to the double fall of Pecco Bagnaia and Alex Marquez, but he does not want to get into controversy. « I have no opinion! In the scenario, whatever you do is a mistake. One got a little ahead, and the other crossed. The layout, the track also contributed to this collision: I think it is a combination of factors that have led to this situation. » he concluded.
