Let's be honest, the only question that really arises before this Aragon Grand Prix Sprint MotoGP, 12th round of the season, is to know if Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) will finally return to the top step of the podium after more than 1000 days of abstinence!
As a result, the fight for the lead in the world championship almost takes a back seat, Francis Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) and Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) was not going to be decisively separated in this 11-lap race of the 5078 meters of the Motorland Aragon track.
To achieve its goal, Marc Márquez will have to defeat a rookie Peter Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) particularly in form this weekend is present on the front row alongside a Francesco Bagnaia who, as a champion, once again manages to restore a complicated situation.
The master of the specialty, George Martin, who crashed early in qualifying, will start from fourth position alongsideAlex Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) and Franco Morbidelli (Prima Pramac Racing), while Johann zarco (Castrol Honda LCR), for the first time this year, will start a Honda from the fourth row.
But above all, Marc Márquez will have to fight above all against himself and against his passion which has betrayed him on too many occasions: the line between very and too much is extremely fine at this level of competition, and the Catalan knows something about it...
The suspense is therefore expected to be at its peak and while waiting to discover more, at the time when the 22 pilots are preparing, under a rather clear sky with temperatures of 29° in the air and 46° on the ground, let's take advantage of these few moments of live coverage thanks to the official website MotoGP.com :

The new track surface, barely rubbed down during the day on Friday, was washed out by the night rain and offers very little grip, especially off the lines like where the start was Francis Bagnaia...
During the first round, Marc Márquez is already starting to widen the gap as Johann zarco fall in the second sector.
We've lost the hero of the weekend @JohannZarco1 on the opening lap! 🥺

Marc Márquez is on the edge and perhaps makes a small mistake because George Martin managed to get back on his wheel before the Gresini rider escaped again. At the end of the first lap, it was half a second that the number 93 managed to build.
The hierarchy is then made up of the trio Marc Márquez/Jorge Martin/Pedro Acosta two seconds ahead of the peloton led by Francis Bagnaia. Shortly after, Franco Morbidelli loses control of his Ducati.
In the third round, Francis Bagnaia makes a mistake and drops back to sixth position. Meanwhile, Marc Márquez continues his effort and now has a 1,2 second lead over George Martin, while Peter Acosta is starting to fall behind.

We are approaching the halfway point and the standings are showing Marc Márquez, Jorge Martin, Pedro Acosta, Alex Márquez, Miguel Oliveira, Francesco Bagnaia, Brad Binder, Raul Fernandez, Fabio Quartararo and Jack Miller in the top 10.
Francis Bagnaia appears to be in difficulty and is now in seventh position, within firing range of fabio quartararo who started from 17th position!
The struggles go on for @PeccoBagnaia! 😮

On your mind, Marc Márquez 2,6 seconds ahead George Martin, itself possessing the same advantage over Peter Acosta. On the Gresini box side, we're keeping our fingers crossed...
Francis Bagnaia et Fabio Quartararo overtake and re-overtake each other, but it is finally the Frenchman who takes the advantage on the last lap.
Chaos at Turn 12! 🤯@PeccoBagnaia is in danger of not scoring points here! 😮#AragonGP 🏁 pic.twitter.com/S4Q3DmuGUC
