Before the Aragon Grand Prix, the statistics are overwhelming to determine the big favorite for this 15th round of the MotoGP world championship!

We are obviously talking about Francis Bagnaia which can already boast of the following performances:
– Poleman right here in 2021,
– Circuit record holder in 2021,
– Winner here in 2021,
– Winner of 10 Grands Prix out of the 20 contested since then,
– Winner of the last four Grands Prix,
– Poleman in 2022,
– Circuit record holder in 2022.

These are performances which are enough to frighten the competition, unless the latter is unconscious, and yet, and this is what makes the beauty of sport, nothing is ever won in advance, especially when the differences are as minimal as we currently know and the performance factors as numerous as they are precise…

While waiting for the final clash which will take place from 14 p.m. over 23 rounds, and seeing how Jack Miller, Enea Bastianini, Aleix Espargaro, Johann zarco, fabio quartararo,  Marco Bezzecchi and other George Martin will be able to oppose the red Turinois, let's observe this 20-minute warm-up and, at the moment when the 23 drivers are preparing for this dry session, with still a little wind and temperatures of 19° in the air and 24° on the ground under an overcast sky today, and let's enjoy these few live moments thanks to the official website MotoGP.com :

When the red lights go out... Luca Marini rushes first, Francesco Bagnaia the last.

In terms of tires, medium and soft are scattered.

While George Martin establishes the first reference in 1'49.229 at the end of the first flying lap, Alex Marquez fall at high speed at turn #4.

His brother Marc then lowers the best time to 1'48.317 in front George Martin et Takaaki Nakagami.

The latter then takes the lead in 1'47.689, which offers the rather unusual spectacle this year of two Hondas at the top of the ranking.

It doesn't last long because John Zarco is inserted between the two RC231Vs mid-session.

The hierarchy is then composed of Takaaki Nakagami, Enea Bastianini, Johann Zarco, Marc Márquez, Jorge Martin, Fabio Quartararo, Aleix Espargaro, Francesco Bagnaia, Jack Miller, Marco Bezzecchi, Fabio Di Giannantonio, Pol Espargaro, Raul Fernandez, Franco Morbidelli, Miguel Oliveira, Luca Marini, Cal Crutchlow, Alex Rins, Maverick Vinales, Darryn Binder, Brad Binder, Rémi Gardner and Alex Márquez.

The temperatures are lower than yesterday and this changes the situation: the KTMs can no longer use the hard front tire and are much less efficient, while some competitors are asking themselves the question of using the soft rear tire in the race instead of the medium…

At the end of the session, Maverick Vinales goes back to fourth position, Jack Miller in the sixth grade.

Great performance from the LCR driver, who took pole position here two years ago during the Teruel Grand Prix!
