Marco Bezzecchi scored his first points of the season in Argentina by finishing in the top 10. A real performance for the young rookie, knowing that he only had a short time (two days) to familiarize himself with the Termas de Río Hondo circuit on his motogp.

The Italian later returned to his performance to journalists, and we transcribe his entire remarks here.

Marco, you seemed to be very in control on the bike. Do you think you really understand the category well now?
« I had a very good feeling on the bike, and I did well against the other Ducati riders so that's a good thing. I'm starting to have more confidence on the bike, and I would say that I still need a little more time and experience on the bike to really get to grips with the Ducati. But for the moment I have good feelings and I am able to drive well. I'm still missing a little something, but it's part of the game. »

We saw you go wide in the first corner at one point. Do you think this gap compromised your race?
« I had to step aside because I almost came into contact with Oliveira. I went wide and lost all the positions I had previously taken. But I think what really impacted my race was my fall during FP2 on Saturday. Because of this I was unable to participate in Q2 and found myself behind many drivers who were difficult to overtake. »

During the first winter tests, in Jerez last November, it seemed that you had a bit of catching up to do compared to the other rookies, and now you have completely surpassed them. How did you pull off this sleight of hand?
« During testing I took things easy because I really wanted to figure out what I needed on the bike to feel comfortable. So I wanted to see what I needed for my riding. »
