MotoGP Argentina J3 Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha/7): “the positive we have to take from this weekend is that we had a pretty good pace in the rain”

Fabio Quartararo leaves this Argentine Grand Prix with a consolation prize which will keep him in good spirits for the rest of the events of a season which promises to be decidedly long and full of twists and turns. The ogre Pecco Bagnaia missed a meal and although the Frenchman was dominated during the three days spent at Termas de Rio Hondo by his teammate Franco Morbidelli who is now ahead of him in the championship, he had positive signs which keep him in the straight path of a title contender.

At the microphone of Canal +, fabio quartararo commented on his Argentine Grand Prix : " I had a good start and until turn 7 it was pretty good, I had a good start to the race… But then, after that, Nakagami hit me like a suicide bomber in this turn. Then I had difficulty passing the first group that I had in front of me, but afterwards I really managed to get into a good rhythm and I think that's the positive that we have to take from this weekend: we had a pretty good pace in the rain in terms of speed ».

He adds : " I think we even had the same times as those in front but at the end of the race we were missing a little bit of tire. But I think there are positives to take from this race » And he repeats: “ in the rain since Mandalika I never really had good results and here I think we still saved the furniture ».

And all the more so since, against all expectations, Pecco Bagnaia dropped : " there are still a lot of races left so I'm not thinking about the championships at the moment but in any case I know that all the points we can take and we must take them.
