This qualifying for the Argentine MotoGP Grand Prix will take place on a wet track with almost dry trajectories.

Among Marc Marquez, Cal Crutchlow, Dani Pedrosa, Esteve Rabat, Andrea Iannone, Maverick Vinales, Valentino Rossi, Alex Rins, Johann Zarco et Jack Miller, to which were added Alex Espargaro et Andrea Dovizioso drafted in Q1, will anyone try the slick bet? It seems impossible because there is still a wet corner, but it is nevertheless the question we ask ourselves before this 15-minute session.

The temperatures are 20° and 22° for the air and the track.

The 15 minutes of qualifying are generally broken down into two very fast runs, each comprising 2 or 3 flying laps.

So we don't waste any time and as soon as the red lights go out, it's Marc Márquez who leads the pack.

Only Andrea Iannone et Esteve Rabat chose a soft rear tire.

Marc Márquez begins his first flying lap but, realizing that he is followed by Esteve Rabat, gets up and lets everyone pass.

The first reference therefore registered by John Zarco in 1'49.261, ahead Alex Espargaro et Cal Crutchlow.

In the next passage, it is Alex Espargaro who won in 1'48.783, ahead of Marc Márquez et Johann zarco.

Andrea Dovizioso, 7th, stops at his box one lap before the majority of drivers while Valentino Rossi makes a straight line.

Jack Miller et Marc Márquez finally bet on slicks, which triggers messages asking to do the same thing on the dashboards of Valentino Rossi et Maverick Vinales.

More Marc Márquez returns immediately to take his 2nd motorcycle equipped with rain tires while Jack Miller plays acrobats in T3 to stay on its wheels.

There are only 3 minutes left and alex rins seizes command before being dethroned by Esteve Rabat and Dani Pedrosa.

In the last minute, Johann zarco climbs to 2nd position but, at the last minute, Jack Miller wins his bet and takes pole position with the greatest panache!

While he dominated all weekend, Marc Marquez played, and lost. This doesn't bode well for what will happen in tomorrow's race, but it at least brings a little suspense.
