If the attention is focused on Fabio Quartararo who, at Assen, achieved both his second consecutive pole position and his second podium in a row, the affairs of the championship are well and truly in the hands of a ruthless Marc Márquez. Last year, he left the Netherlands with a 41-point lead over Dovizioso. Here he is with a 44 unit mattress. And the fate of the Ducati official is all the less encouraging as his teammate Petrucci can now eye the status of vice-champion…
In a week, it will be the Sachsenring, the playground of Marc Márquez. Certainly, Austin was too and we know what happened this year. But rely more on the fault of Márquez to beat him only on his own abilities is a sign that does not deceive: The Honda official is heading towards an eighth coronation.
The Ducatis did not even create an illusion and Dovizioso can be happy with a hard-fought fourth place against his teammate, Morbidely et Mir. But all this took place more than 14 seconds from the winner Casa Particular in Viñales. A gap that the men in Red cannot rejoice in.
Marc Márquez had declared that Assen would be the golden opportunity for Yamaha to make it happen. Casa Particular in Viñales made this prognosis a prediction. Quarterly was heroic in leading the entire first part of the race, with a satellite Yamaha which was moving a lot and which extremely tired his freshly operated forearm.
The Frenchman is third and that was the goal. That of Márquez was to manage the championship. He takes seven more points to Dovizioso, now at 44 points and he is pushing back Kidneys at 59 lengths. Because the Suzuki official gave up even though he had a good card to play. We then find a Yamaha trio which tightens up. Red gave up again after falling violently Nakagami. He remains fifth overall, 88 points behind the leader. Quarterly follows him at 5 points and Casa Particular in Viñales to 7 units.
Handshakes all round! 🤝
How can you not be happy after a race like that!!! 🔥#DutchGP 🇳🇱 pic.twitter.com/QTNQn34Sfo

Miller is 5 points behind the winner of Assen and he holds in respect for 8 lengths Pol Espargaro in the top 10 since ninth. He is ahead Crutchlow by one point. The Englishman is happy to regain the advantage over his teammate Nakagami now pushed back to 3 units. Morbidely, teammate of Quarterly is almost 20 points less than the Frenchman. Since we are talking about French, we note 17e place of zarco. Olive tree sticks it to a point with the KTM Tech3.
Next meeting at Sachsenring for the German Grand Prix in a week. The last one before the summer break.
