The rain was invited to the party this Friday for the first day, but ultimately stayed away from these qualifications and Francesco Bagnaia had a great time. The Italian was in fact capable of reaching 1'31.504, three tenths better than the previous record, until then owned by Maverick Viñales. Fabio Quartararo will have made up some of the delay, but 'El Diablo' will still have missed 116 thousandths. The World Champion had to settle for second place ahead of an impressive Jorge Martín.
